Front Office Receptionist / Dental Assistant
Full Job Description This position is for Monday - Wednesday 8:30 A.M. - 5:30 P.M, and some Thursdays from 8:30-5:30 P.M depending on the week. ***We are looking for punctual/dependable staff*** Our office is not open as many days as other offices therefore, do NOT apply unless you consider yourself very punctual/dependable in terms of coming to work each day on time. We are only looking for the most reliable applicants to join our team.
Dental Assistant Responsibilities
- Searching for candidates that already have experience assisting
- Ability to speak Spanish is an added benefit
- Prepare and set up for dental procedures
- Welcome and engage with patients before, during, and after procedures
- Review and update health histories and patient records
- Work with providers to maintain a pleasant and productive environment
- Take digital X-rays for patients
- Prepare treatment sheets and other office duties as assigned
- Assist the doctor during various general dentistry procedures, as well as some experience with orthodontic assisting
- Take alginate impressions
- Make temporary crowns for patients
Front Office Responsibilities
- Initially verifying and reviewing insurance verifications to ensure accurate patient estimates
- Reviewing charges on the daily ledger and proper support documents to submit insurance claims
- Experience with claims submission
- Processing of payments and refunds
- Reviewing aging AR reports
- Reviewing upcoming appointments to ensure insurances and balances are accurate and setting future appointments
- Helping to lead the office by example
Qualifications, Requirements, & Benefits
- Must feel very comfortable with Dentrix
- Need to understand and have experience in all aspects of the insurance claims process
- Very detailed oriented
- Hard working and focused
- Positive and happy - we are not looking for any type of drama in our office
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Dental Assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
- Registered Dental Assistant (Preferred)
- X-Ray Certification (Preferred)

Pay $18.00 - $22.00 per hour COVID-19 considerations All customers are required to wear masks in the reception area and while coming to and from operatories. A COVID-19 screening form is complete before dental treatment is performed. Extensive disinfection and sterilization measures in place. One Work Location — Not Remote
